Italian Large Leaf Basil
Shiny green leaves, sweet-spicy flavor. Rich in oils and so aromatic!
Medium-green leaves and stems. Excellent for adding abundant flavor to Italian dishes, and more delicate visually than chopped, full-size basil leaves.
Available as a shoot.
In general, microgreens will stay fresh for 5-7 days. Some hardier varieties can last longer.
Dark Opal Basil
This burgundy blended with green cousin of sweet basil will bring rich splashes of color to your dishes. Opal basil has a subtle basil-clove flavor. Mostly purple leaves with a few variegated, or green leaves. Adds robust, sweet-and-spicy flavor and visual interest to all dishes. A critical ingredient in many Asian dishes, including those of Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
Available as a microgreen.
